Coventry equips its DXA service

City of Coventry Health Centre, a newly commissioned walk-in facility, has received a Hologic Discovery W DXA system supplied by Vertec Scientific.
The DXA service was instigated by the NHS Coventry and Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group after a process starting with the involvement of the local branch of the National Osteoporosis Society through HealthWatch Coventry. The commissioning group’s corporate governance and engagement manager Laura Moxon said: “There wasn’t a DXA scanning service in Coventry previously, meaning that patients had to travel to Rugby or Nuneaton. This location has good public transport links and parking.”
