Covidien backs awards for NM students

Covidien south west nuclear account manager Vicki Parkin presents the certificate to post-graduate student MarieClaire Attard.

 

Covidien Pharmaceuticals sponsored two awards for students enrolled on the MSc Nuclear Medicine programme at the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol.

 

MarieClaire Attard, who works at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, The Netherlands, was awarded the Best Academic Student title for 2009-10 for her overall performance on the MSc Nuclear Medicine programme.

 

Christopher O’Callaghan, who works at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, was awarded the Best Engaging Student title.

 

Vicki Parkin of Covidien presented MarieClaire with her certificate.  Vicki also commented: “Having educational links with an academic institute such as the UWE Bristol is an important relationship for Covidien and the nuclear medicine community.”  Both students were awarded a small sponsorship grant for educational resources during the programme.
