Dame Kelly helps launch permanent imaging service

At Benenden Hospital are lead radiographer Jodie Edwards, Alliance Medical lead radiographer Ben Gardener, Dame Kelly Holmes, Alliance Medical business development director David Loasby and diagnostics and therapeutics manager Jeremy Harrington.

Ambassador for the London 2012 Olympics and 2004 gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes MBE was on hand to open Benenden Hospital’s first permanent imaging service.

Previously, a mobile unit provided the Kent hospital’s imaging services, but the addition of a GE Signa HDx 1.5T MRI will see scanning services based on site, an investment made possible through a partnership with Alliance Medical.  It allows the hospital to meet a high demand for scanning and to provide the community with access to a wider range of routine and complex MRI diagnostic investigations.
