Darlington delegates ponder bowel ultrasound
Delegates and speakers at the Annual Bowel Ultrasound Study Day, sponsored by Philips Healthcare, pose for a picture on the steps of the attractive venue of Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Darlington, County Durham.
The specialised education day, run in conjunction with Philips Healthcare by consultant radiologists Dr Nigel Grunshaw and Dr Tony Higginson covered normal anatomy and techniques as well as individual pathology of various bowel diseases including tumours.
Included in the programme were case demonstrations and tips and pitfalls when undertaking ultrasound examinations of the gastro-intestinal tract.
