DayHawk delivers 13-minute radiology turnaround for NHS

Teleradiology provider Medica reports that its DayHawk service provides a 13-minute average turnaround per examination, with 98 per cent adherence to its service level agreement, offering support for timely patient care. DayHawk supports NHS trusts with rapid, quality diagnostic reporting, seven days a week.
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) senior operations manager James Towle commented: “DayHawk has been incredibly useful for our NHS trust. The quick turnaround times and reliable service have greatly supported our patient care, especially in critical cases.”
The service provides dedicated pathways for seriously injured patients (SIP), including stroke and major trauma centre cases. SIP reports are available within 15 minutes, with detailed follow-up shortly thereafter, ensuring rapid communication between clinicians in critical cases. DayHawk also offers flexible pathways, including vetting, reporting and second reviews, to help NHS trusts manage resources effectively and provide essential diagnostic capacity.
