Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital has replaced 18-year old x-ray rooms with three Philips DigitalDiagnost Flex Wireless digital x-ray systems.  One unit is specifically for orthopaedics, another will be used for A&E trauma while the third is for general use.

Superintendent reporting radiographer Julie Collins said: “We like the fact that the equipment is so versatile and easy to manoeuvre.  The image acquisition is fast and of a very high quality, which makes the throughput of patients much quicker.  The purchase has made a huge difference, leading to a more effective service for our patients and users.”
