Direct digital dental system for Bristol

Bristol superintendent radiographer John Bunn with Xograph manager Liam Neill.
The University of Bristol Dental Hospital has installed a full direct digital dental system – the Planmeca Proline XC with a digital cephalostat, supplied by Xograph Healthcare.
The XC offers orthopantomographic imaging and provides side entry, open view and motorised adjustments for precise positioning.
It also eliminates shadows and ghost images caused by objects outside the image layer, which reduces the need for retakes.
The digital cephalostat is described as “easy to operate, guaranteeing accurate positioning due to its cephalometric imaging mode which will enable the system to automatically align itself.”
The XC also offers a triple laser beam system for accurate alignment of reference anatomical landmarks.
