Direct digital radiography eases life in the field

Warrington-based equine veterinary practice Orrell and Davies has purchased a portable direct digital radiography x-ray system from Xograph.

Established in 2002, the practice covers an area reaching from Liverpool to Manchester and treats a large part of the equine population in the area.  It was becoming evident that, with the increase of referrals, the traditional route of film and chemistry for imaging was becoming challenging and so the practise made the leap to direct digital radiography and purchased a meX+, a portable battery operated wireless dDR Solution.

Veterinarian and owner of the practise Stevan Orrell said: “Clients really get the wow factor when they see our digital x-ray system and are further impressed when we can show them an x-ray image there and then.  For us, as soon as we trialled meX+ we loved it; there are no trailing wires and no need for a power supply.
