Dr Leijenaar receives Barclay Medal for paper on predicting HPV status

BIR Barclay Medal

Dr Ralph Leijenaar from Maastricht University Medical Centre, the Netherlands, has been awarded the BJR Barclay Medal Award for his paper on ‘Development and validation of a radiomic signature to predict HPV (p16) status fromstandard CT imaging: a multicentre study.’ It was presented by Dr Jane Phillips-Hughes at the BIR Annual Congress in November.

The award was founded in memory of Dr Alfred Ernest Barclay and is awarded annually to the person whose contribution to the British Journal of Radiology over a period of years has been of special merit, contributing particularly to the science and practice of radiology.
