The Royal Berkshire Hospital has acquired a Philips DigitalDiagnost Flex wireless digital x-ray system to replace an existing x-ray system in its busy emergency department.
Royal Berkshire Hospital’s Matthew Graham said: “In combination with our DR high performance room, the ability to pivot the DR Flex system’s table to the corner of the room enables better use of limited room space, and has also enabled quick movement and preparation between minor injury patients and major trauma cases.
“The equipment has facilitated new ways of working with the diverse workload that the emergency radiology department encounters on a daily basis, allowing better throughput.”
