DR systems speed up turnaround times

Following an order from University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, three Carestream Health DRX Evolution modular DR systems have been installed in the A&E Department and three Kodak DirectView 7500 systems have been installed in the inpatient department of Birmingham’s first new acute hospital – the first for 70 years.

 

Three more DR systems are due to be installed in the outpatient department.

 

The new hospital, which replaces the existing Selly Oak Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, will generate in the region of 140,000 annual DR imaging studies. Utilising the latest in technology across all modalities, it will significantly improve access and examination turnaround times for patients.
