DR technology ticks all the boxes for Spire Elland

Spire Elland Hospital, part of the Spire Healthcare group, has installed a Carestream DRX-Evolution DR room and a DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray system.
The 41-bed hospital provides private hospital services to patients from Halifax, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Todmorden and surrounding areas in Yorkshire.
Radiology manager Carol Johnson said “Our previous x-ray room used CR, but it was quite old and due for replacement. We decided to upgrade to a DR system and wanted equipment that was user friendly, particularly suited to a high volume of orthopaedic cases, offered auto positioning and was competitively priced. Switching to Carestream’s DR has allowed us to manage patient flow through the department more efficiently and, being fully automatic, it has reduced moving and handling issues for staff.”
