Dry oven creates shells at short notice

Vertec Scientific has supplied Northampton General Hospital’s radiotherapy department with a Klarity dry oven. The department is part of one of the largest specialist radiotherapy treatment facilities in the UK.
Mould room manager Matthew York said: “The oven gives us greater flexibility to create thermoplastic shells at short notice and reduces time spent filling, emptying and cleaning the water bath so we can spend more time with patients. It hasn’t interfered with our mould processes, other than saving time, which is great.”
