Celebrating World Radiography Day are students from Dubai Women’s College.
Medical imaging students from the Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai Women’s College (HCT-DWC) in the UAE took part in four separate World Radiography Day events to raise the profile of radiography as a profession and to acknowledge its contribution to global healthcare. Students and teachers Alistair Simpson and Liliana Lynch joined HCT-DWC medical imaging graduates and radiographic clinical educators at the Rashid, Dubai, Latifa and Al Baraha hospitals to present interactive displays to the public and to hospital colleagues.
Students took part in quizzes, showcased radiographic displays, attended lectures, distributed prizes and toured photographic exhibitions on the history of the profession in the UAE. Graduates and principal radiographer at Rashid Hospital Asmhan Sajwani gave an inspiring presentation on the challenges and joys of the radiographic profession.
