Easy to use breast biopsy system at Devon screening service receives positive feedback

The North and East Devon Breast Screening Service, delivered by InHealth, is using the Hologic Brevera breast biopsy system, introducing vacuum-assisted breast biopsy. Used in the breast assessment clinics, the system streamlines the breast biopsy process, with real-time imaging for instant tissue verification.

Superintendent radiographer at the time of launch Lesley Stephenson said: “We are very happy with the system. It is easy to use, image quality is good and our increased confidence in sample verification makes procedure time fast. We particularly like the lavage and aspirate functionality. Also feedback from the ladies has been positive both during and post procedure.”

Mammography services manager Sharron Bayles added: “In addition to the high quality product, the support from Hologic has been as professional as ever. The engineers, applications specialists and customer service team have all worked together to make the launch process very smooth.”
