Edinburgh hosts Euroson

The 21st Euroson Congress held in Edinburgh this week attracted around 900 attendees to the Scottish capital.

The meeting hosted by the British Medical Ultrasound Society and EFSUMB offered delegates a three day programme of lectures, lunchtime symposia, integrated training sessions and workshops, plus the opportunity to get hands on experience of state-of-the-art equipment.

The meeting included the first Peter Twining Obstetric Memorial Lecture, given by Mr Bill Smith of Clinical Diagnostic Services, London. The special session was set up by BMUS as a tribute to the memory of Peter Twining, who died earlier this year.

Pictured on the Olympus stand in the technical exhibition are Mark Groom from Olympus (left) with Dr Scott Inglis of NHS Lothian.

A photo-report of  Euroson will be publsihed in the January issue of RAD Magazine.
