EIZO achieves gold CSR-A accreditation in recognition of commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices

EIZO Limited has been awarded the gold level Corporate Social Responsibility Accreditation (CSR-A), reflecting EIZO’s ongoing commitment to sustainable operations, ethical business conduct and meaningful stakeholder engagement.
CSR-A Accreditation is a leading UK company delivering a global standard for social responsibility, providing a framework for evaluating how businesses integrate both social responsibility and sustainability into their operations. Focusing on four key pillars: environment, workplace, community and philanthropy, it aligns with the United Nation’s sustainable development goals. The assessment process involves detailed evidence submission, scoring and an independent review, encouraging organisations to continually improve and formalise their CSR efforts.
To achieve gold, organisations must meet a rigorous 80 per cent benchmark across CSR-A’s framework. EIZO surpassed this with a score of 88 per cent, reflecting the company’s collective dedication to sustainable practices, from day-to-day actions to global manufacturing strategies.
The CSR-A assessment report concluded: “EIZO Limited has built a robust and evolving CSR framework that is well-integrated into the company’s operations, ethos, and stakeholder engagement. The organisation’s strategic and ethical approach reflects a mature understanding of its responsibilities and opportunities within sustainability… The company’s ability to blend global ambitions with local action is particularly commendable and provides a strong foundation for future accreditation and recognition.”
This prestigious accolade highlights initiatives across all levels of the business, including energy-efficient product design, customer education on power consumption, and the shift to 100% renewable energy across EIZO’s Japanese manufacturing facilities.
“Everything we do within EIZO is sustainable by design as we move towards our 2040 Net Zero target,” stated Mike Owen, head of marketing at EIZO Limited. “Whether it is our Japanese factories running on 100% renewable energy, our energy-efficient products, or how we support customers in understanding their own carbon footprint through the power consumption of their monitors, sustainability is embedded in our DNA. We understand that virtually every major decision we make is taken via information given to us on a screen – if we can make those decisions a little easier and quicker through high quality, sustainably manufactured products then hopefully we can enrich the lives of our users.”
The company’s progress toward its net zero by 2040 goal is underpinned by both grassroots efforts -like responsible recycling and energy usage in the office – and strategic decisions across its global supply chain. EIZO’s success is a testament to the ongoing efforts of every employee, partner, and stakeholder working together towards a more sustainable future.
