Xograph Healthcare has recently delivered a DRagon Direct Digital mobile x-ray unit to the medical centre at Huntercombe Young Offenders Prison, Oxfordshire.
The DRagon uses a portable Canon CXDI-50C high DQE, single tile 35x43cm direct digital detector. Image review and any post-processing required can be performed on the DRagon just 3 seconds after exposure, before downloading the images wirelessly to a diagnostic workstation and then onwards via N3′ to an NHS hospital for reporting.
The imaging package from Xograph Healthcare also included room refurbishment and the supply of radiation protection, a mobile patient table, a DR detector wall stand and a diagnostic workstation with wireless connectivity with the DRagon x-ray unit.
A full report will be published on page 11 of the March 2009 issue of RAD Magazine.
