Envirotect charity support

Shielding company Envirotect is supporting the work of three charities throughout 2024.

DENS, nominated by company secretary Janine Smith, helps people in the district of Dacorum who are facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion in order to support them in taking the next positive step in their lives, secure and maintain a long-term housing option and be an active member of their community.

Managing director Niven Smith is a lifelong supporter of Tottenham Hotspur FC and has nominated both Tottenham Foodbank and Tottenham Community Sports Centre for monthly donations. Smith said: “We recognise the importance of charitable work, and the charities we have chosen to support play incredibly important roles in their local communities. Our regular donations will help to make a difference, funding new projects and helping people out of crisis faster.”

Tottenham Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities, as well as across the UK. It provides emergency food parcels containing nutritionally balanced meals.

Tottenham Community Sports Centre works to enhance the lives of members of the community through a wide range of activities and events. It is one of the oldest sports centres in London, established more than 30 years ago by a group of volunteers, many of whom are still connected with the centre today. One of the earliest founders Kevin Lincoln, who still works tirelessly to keep the sports centre going as the secretary to trustees, has been awarded the British Empire Medal (Civil Division) by the King.

Envirotect offers a radiation and RF shielding products including lead-lined panels, door sets, windows and x-ray screens with associated services for MRI facilities.
