Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals NHS Trust’s electrophysiology (EP) service has been expanded following the installation of a state-of-the-art Philips Allura Xper FD10/10 bi-plane system for its purpose-built cath lab at Harefield Hospital. The dedicated electrophysiology imaging suite includes EP Cockpit, 3D Atriography, EP Navigator and a FlexVision monitor.
Superintendent radiographer Chris Prytherch said: “The system has enabled Harefield to increase its capacity and stay at the forefront of EP technology. We find we can carry out EP procedures faster and with better visualisation, and we are also able to reduce contrast dose using the equipment.”
