Ergéa white paper shows how MES solutions can address NHS radiotherapy challenges

Ergéa UK, a vendor-neutral provider of managed equipment services (MES), has published a white paper exploring how modern MES solutions can help expand patient access to radiotherapy across the UK.

Radiotherapy MES: A Planned Long-Term Solution to the UK Radiotherapy Crisis outlines how a radiotherapy MES provides a structured, funded and strategic approach to addressing the NHS’s most urgent challenges in delivering equitable radiotherapy services.

As highlighted in the recent Darzi report, rising cancer incidence, missed treatment targets, ageing infrastructure and limited funding have created inequities in access to care. Ergéa says that, to ensure long-term success, the NHS must transition from short-term, reactive funding strategies to planned, proactive investment in technology and infrastructure. A modern MES can support this transformation by ensuring access to advanced equipment, improving patient outcomes and enhancing operational efficiency through long-term partnership models.

Ergéa UK executive VP and director of strategic relationships John Muolo said: “We hope this white paper offers valuable insights into the potential of modern MES partnerships and provides guidance on factors to consider when selecting an MES supplier, always with the patient in mind.”
