Ergonomic design leads to Aplio 500 choice

At Pilgrim Hospital is Toshiba Medical Systems ultrasound specialist Donna Holdcroft with sonographers Sophie Cochran and Lucie Holland, radiology services manager Nigel Allen and sonographers Mandy Holland and Gayle Morgan.

Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, has purchased an Aplio 500 as a replacement system for general radiology.  Superintendent sonographer Gill Massey said: “We chose the Aplio 500 for its high imaging performance, ease-of-use and ergonomic design.  We have always been very happy with the outstanding after sales service provided by Toshiba.”

Launched last autumn the Aplio 500 offers Fly Thru and Smart Fusion to “take ultrasound imaging to a new dimension”.  It is one of three systems purchased by the United Lincolnshire NHS Trust, one of the largest trusts in the country providing a comprehensive range of hospital-based medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecological services.
