Esaote updates open MRI platform to meet the demands of MSK examinations

Esaote has released the S-scan Open, a new configuration of its best-selling S-scan MRI system.

S-scan Open is the result of a commitment to research and development while listening to market needs and user feedback from customers worldwide. “With S-scan Open, we have relied on Esaote’s latest technology, in terms of the hardware and software platform. It has been specifically re-engineered to face the challenging requirements of musculoskeletal examinations,” explained Esaote MRI marketing director Massimo Olmi.

The system has been updated to comply with the latest regulatory standards, offering advanced performance with image optimisation algorithms and optimised clinical protocols (for MRIs with the eXP package) that ensure image quality and significantly reduced scan times. S-scan Open also offers solutions intended to optimise workflow and focus attention on the operator. The new open knee coil, the result of Esaote’s latest MRI technological platform, guarantees an improved experience for the operator and the patient. Its user interface has been updated to the latest Microsoft Office standards and is designed to be simple and immediate.
