Bournemouth International Centre
Symposium Mammographicum 2025
July 9
July 11, 2025
Symposium Mammographicum was held in Bournemouth last month and the programme gave particular focus to inequities in breast care and sustainability. The Audrey Tucker memorial lecture was ‘How can AI improve screening and equity?’ given by professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, Dr Connie Lehman. ‘Inequalities and genetic screening’ was the Sir John Stebbings lecture, given by University of Oxford professor of genomic medicine Anneke Lucassen.
New this year, to provoke lively discussions between presenters and delegates, were two rapid-fire poster sessions where delegates posed questions to the authors, and a closing session where an expert panel answered audience questions on ‘Difficult cases: clinical, ethical, medicolegal, duty of candour and other challenges.’
Dates of the next conference will be published in the RAD Diary.
