County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust has purchased five Philips iU22 ultrasound systems, for use at two hospital sites.

Two systems, including one with xMatrix technology, were supplied to Darlington Memorial Hospital.  The other three scanners went to Bishop Auckland Hospital, two for use in obstetrics and other for the main radiology department.

Superintendent sonographer Chris McGrath said: “Philips was our preferred supplier because the company has a long history with us of high quality products and excellent after-sales care.”
