Freeman Hospital improves imaging and workflow

At Freeman Hospital’s interventional radiology suite, with radiology manager Graeme Hughes and Siemens Healthcare applications specialist Khalid Oozeer in the foreground, are (from left) staff nurse Karen Curry, superintendant radiographer Alan Cleghorn, sister Joan Hood and radiologists Dr Rob Williams and Dr John Rose.
Freeman Hospital, part of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, has installed a ceiling mounted Artis zee from Siemens Healthcare for real-time interventional imaging in angiography procedures.
Situated in the interventional radiology suite, the Artis zee is primarily used for general endovascular interventions and also for a variety of specialised procedures such as endovascular aneurysm repair work.
