Fujifilm has released a poster warning patients to speak to their radiographer if they think they may be pregnant. Produced in conjunction with the Society of Radiographers, the poster is printed in A3 size or can be downloaded as a pdf. It is available to all imaging departments free of charge on request.
“We contacted the society after a number of requests from customers highlighted the need for a new, updated and easily available poster,” explained Fujifilm Medical Systems UK general manager Adrian Waller. “We realised there was a demand for this specific and important information to be clearly displayed in radiology waiting rooms. We are grateful to the society for its advice on the design and also for providing the 12 translations, which we hope will make the message widely accessible to the majority of patients.”
SCoR chief executive officer Richard Evans OBE added: “There is a long tradition of industry partners providing helpful patient information for x-ray and radiotherapy departments. It is great that Fujifilm is continuing to demonstrate commitment to patient safety in this way. This is in addition to the company’s long-standing support for radiography research through the College of Radiographers industry partnership scheme.”
