Fundraisers flock to the fairway
RAD Magazine Foundation trustee David Roberts presents a cheque to George Burroughs of The Stroke Association for the money raised by RADley’s Runners team at the Brighton Marathon Weekend. With them are team members Ashley Gander, Mechel Roberts, Katherine Powell and Jordan Powell.
Despite forecasts of inclement weather almost 70 golfers and non-golfers attended the RAD Magazine Foundation Golf Day at the end of last month.
The event was organised by the RAD Magazine Foundation to raise much needed funds for The Stroke Association. During the dinner which followed the day’s play, the charity was presented with a cheque for £2,000 raised over this year’s Brighton Marathon Weekend.
RAD Magazine’s managing director Mechel Roberts said: “We would like to thank everyone who has supported the Golf Day by attending and taking part. We are also very grateful to our clients who donated prizes for the raffle and sponsored holes.”
