Galway University Hospitals group comprises University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital. Most acute medical services for the region are provided at University Hospital Galway which is a designated cancer centre. The group treats on average 65,000 patients per annum.
Dr McDonnell said: “I am delighted to be using the GE system as our machine of choice in the performance of ultrasound-based regional anaesthesia in the Galway University Hospitals.”
