Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust reports that workflow has been improved since the installation of Vue RIS and Vue PACS systems.  The radiology department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital currently performs around 165,000 examinations a year and improvements in workflow and data quality from the Carestream RIS/PACS have already been seen.

“We wanted a fully integrated RIS/PACS from one provider that would be delivered and supported by the solution provider and not a third party, in order to eliminate the risks that previously existed with our legacy systems and to reduce the resource intensive processes we needed to manage them,” said radiology IT systems manager Clare Jones. “The Carestream RIS/PACS has definitely streamlined workflow as well as providing improved voice recognition and data quality.  All this contributes to an overall improvement in patient safety.”
