GE presents Omni total body PETCT system that accelerates scan times

GE HealthCare is planning to showcase a new era of nuclear medicine innovation designed to advance precision care and transform clinical workflows. At the heart of its exhibit is the Omni 128cm total body PETCT system, a next generation molecular imaging platform engineered to deliver one bed vertex-to-thigh along the entire axial field of view for virtually all patients. This breakthrough accelerates scan times, says GE, enhances workflow efficiency and enables ultra low dose imaging, supporting both clinical excellence and cutting-edge research applications.

Joining Omni is the newly CE-marked StarGuide GX digital 4D SPECT/CT system, built to meet the rising demand for precision diagnostics. Powered by dual-sided CZT detector technology, StarGuide GX is said to offer exceptional sensitivity and high resolution imaging across all energies for versatile general purpose imaging, including alpha emitters, while eliminating traditional collimator exchanges. “This makes it a versatile, future-ready platform for oncologic, neurologic, cardiac and theragnostic applications,” GE says.

In addition, the team from pharmaceutical diagnostics will be on hand. “We’re also excited to welcome our partners from MIM Software, whose tools integrate seamlessly across imaging pathways to support quantitation, dosimetry and theragnostic planning, helping clinicians turn data into confident, personalised decisions,” the company adds. “We look forward to connecting with the nuclear medicine community in Manchester and sharing the innovations redefining what is possible in patient care.”
