News

Back row, senior clinical lecturer and honorary consultant in oral radiology Laetitia Brocklebank and consultant in dental and maxiofacial radiology Dr Neil Heath.  In front are superintendent radiographer Elizabeth Weldon and Med Imaging sales manager Dawn Stewart.

Med Imaging has installed an Instrumentarium Digital OC200D with SmartPad at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School, a centre for specialist oral health, research and education within central Scotland and the west.

The Digital Orthopantomograph with Cephalostat offers rapid digital imaging for increased patient throughput. Its compact design and stable patient positioning caters for all ranges of patients, including paediatric and wheelchair patients.

SmartNav software with SmartPad offers a full colour high resolution touch screen enabling an easy selection of imaging programs. An animated patient positioning guide provides animations specific to each imaging program to aid patient positioning.

A built-in meter calculates the dose amount after each exposure and stores the information on the Dicom header for transfer to PACS.
