Global forum will tackle the future of safe MRI practices

Taking place on November 19, the online Everything MRI Safety Forum 2024 is a free global event that will bring together experts in the field to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in MRI safety. The event is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safety in practice.
“At Everything MRI, patient safety is at the heart of everything we do, which is why our annual MRI Safety Forum focuses on providing essential guidance, insights and solutions to ensure the safest MRI experiences possible,” the organisers say.
Topics will include: managing patients with unlabelled passive implants on MRI systems operating below 1.5T; remote MRI/RSQS – exploring the future of remote MRI safety and quality supervision systems; the importance of hearing protection for an MRI examination; improving safety of MRI in patients with deep brain stimulators; remote MRI scanning – addressing the legal and safety implications of performing MRI scans remotely; and developing guidance for dealing with fire in an MRI unit.
This year’s forum will provide a deep dive into these topics, offering practical advice and the latest research to help participants navigate the challenges of MRI safety with confidence. Previous forums have drawn thousands of participants from around the world and the Everything MRI Safety Forum 2024 is promising to be another gathering where professionals come together to share knowledge and best practices.
“Join us and connect with MRI safety experts from across the globe,” the organisers continue. “Whether you are a radiographer, technician or healthcare professional, this event is designed to allow you to interact with the best in the field, in real time.”
Registration is open via LinkedIn and the Everything MRI website.
