At the medical imaging department of University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock following installation of a Hologic Selenia Dimenesions digital mammography system are mammographer Laura McCluskey, radiography assistant Deborah Kerr, mammographer Alison Shaw, radiography assistant Morag Dobing, mammographer Alison Nokes, lead mammographer Angela Donnelly, mammographers Irene Canning and Sarah McLachlan and Hologic breast health sales specialist Lynne Callan.
The Selenia Dimensions complements another digital system at the hospital and was added to meet growing demand due to the success of the Scottish Government’s Detect Cancer Early initiative and the consolidation at Crosshouse of all symptomatic examinations previously carried out at Ayr Hospital.
Donnelly said: “The system was chosen due to the fact that it is a fast, efficient unit which delivers high quality images. It is user friendly for patients and staff.”
