Guernsey patients appreciate baby scans from a kiosk

EasyPay Network managing director Ben Wileman, lead sonographer Matt Richards and radiology services manager Alistair Richards.
Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey has boosted efficiency of its sonography department following the installation of an EasyPay Kiosk payment machine. The hospital installed the payment machine to allow patients to buy copies of their 12 and 20-week obstetric scans, without members of staff having to handle money.
Radiology services manager Alistair Richards said: “The machine has been a pleasure to use. We have seen 100 per cent reliability and patients have commented how easy to use it is and how professional it looks. Our departmental staff have found it easy to get along with and the cashiers come and go without any fuss in almost spooky silence; I just get a receipt telling me how much it has taken every week. We haven’t charged for scan photographs in the past, so the payment machine has helped us generate revenue for the hospital, with very little set-up costs.”
