Hands-on groin scanning with an expert

Toshiba Medical Systems held a hands-on practical training session on groin scanning at Fairfield General Hospital, part of the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The day consisted of presentations and lectures followed by a practical session, with consultant sonographer from Leeds Teaching Hospitals Sara Riley as guest speaker.
Clinical lead general ultrasound Angela Booth said: “We covered anatomy, scanning technique and normal and pathological ultrasound appearances. After the theory there was a practical demonstration and after lunch we had the scanning session when we all managed to do several groins under Sara’s guidance.”
