HSL adds RADspeed Pro SR5 that offers smart assistance technologies

Supplier of integrated healthcare solutions, including cutting-edge medical imaging devices, Hospital Services Limited (HSL) has introduced the new RADspeed Pro SR5 radiography system.

Developed with the goal of achieving a better examination environment, the RADspeed Pro SR5 from Shimadzu works to increase examination efficiency by allowing radiographers to focus on the patient, through the use of smart assistance technologies. With this partnership, HSL and Shimadzu are offering tailored solutions for easy-to-use and comfortable x-ray equipment that addresses the needs of a variety of healthcare situations.

The video image from a camera built into the collimator is displayed on the x-ray tube control panel and generator control panel monitors. This provides a setting where medical personnel can focus on patient care, allowing them to check on patients from the control room. A live view display is said to reduce positioning errors and improve accuracy while motion detection reduces the frequency of repeat exposures due to body movement. Last position display offers smoother positioning correction during repeated exposures.

Contextual illumination of the generator console and ceiling-mounted x-ray tube highlight the equipment’s status while graphic unlock buttons help improve intuitive operation.

An optional power assist function called Power Glide supports positioning through motors that assist manual movements, reducing the burden on the operator. Assist levels can be adjusted with one touch, so that large movements can be made quickly with lighter force, but precision movements are still possible for detailed positioning.

Speed Stitch technology offers auto-stitching of long view images. Because only 0.8 seconds is required to prepare for exposures, images can be acquired quickly, even for patients who have difficulty holding their breath or maintaining a body position. The 600kHU high capacity x-ray tube anode starts high speed rotation when the collimator lamp is illuminated.

Additionally, the optional one-shot long-length imaging feature, supported by the 43 x 130cm long format flat panel detector, enables whole spine and leg length examinations with a single exposure.

The HSL team provides continued training, maintenance and servicing.
