Visbion works with NHS Breast Screening Services nationwide to provide connectivity between mobile screening trailers and the host hospital site. The Image Cube managed service allows mammography scans to be quickly and safely encrypted and transferred via 4G from the mobile screening van to the hospital systems. This ensures there are no delays in making the imaging available for reporting by the radiologist. In addition, breast screening staff can now directly access NBSS, as well as their NHS email from a laptop in the mobile unit.
By implementing the Image Cube managed solution, trusts can eliminate the need for scans and clinic lists to be transported by courier between the screening van and the hospital, allowing them to work towards a paper-light workflow, increasing efficiency and data security as well as reducing costs.
Visbion ceo Stefan Claesen said: “We have installed Image Cube for breast screening on over 50 mobile scanning units with more being deployed each month. Our managed service includes a remote support package which allows us to continually monitor each one, picking up on any connectivity delays or issues and correcting them before they cause any problems.”
