Image processing with Musica helps standardise examination protocols

Agfa says its technologies can deliver exceptional diagnostic results with one x-ray. Intelligent imaging solutions such as Musica, SmartXR and ScanXR provide radiologists with immediate, accurate information from the first image taken, reducing the need for retakes.

The heart of the company’s DR systems is self-adaptive image processing software Musica, which ensures consistently high image quality. All details in the image are displayed simultaneously and differentiated without diagnostically impairing noise

Musica automatically analyses and optimises each image, independent of organ and exposure. The result is the balanced reproduction of images with high detail contrast, while at the same time minimising the need for post processing. Musica works independently of the type of examination, body size and constitution of the patient.

SmartXR assists with imaging and helps optimise operational and clinical performance without users relinquishing overview and control in the imaging process. It provides intelligent tools for digital radiography systems that go beyond the actual image generation; integrated sensors, 3D cameras and powerful AI software are key to efficient workflow and good patient care.

ScanXR supports workflow following image acquisition for timely and safe care for outpatients and inpatients. With deep integration into the Musica Workstation, further functions join the port-folio of AI, which runs in the background and does not influence basic workflow.
