Imperial College patients are first to benefit

Private patients manager Bryn Thomas and consultant radiologist Dr Zarni Win with Siemens Healthineers molecular imaging business manager Lawrence Foulsham and London regional sales manager Nicola Yates.

Patients at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will be the first in the world to benefit from two new SPECT/CT machines that will offer the most advanced CT competences to accurately localise areas of disease.

The trust has purchased two Siemens Healthineers Symbia Intevo Bold SPECT/CT machines, to be located at Hammersmith Hospital.

Consultant radiologist Dr Zarni Win said: “These new CT capabilities will help to make even challenging examinations a matter of clinical routine.  Not only is it great for patients, it’s also great that our staff are able to use the most up-to-date technology.”
