Improvements to Sussex radiotherapy service gathers pace

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust has completed another phase of its plans to reconfigure and modernise its radiotherapy services. Following the establishment of new satellite centres in Eastbourne and Preston Park, the facilities at the main centre in Royal Sussex County Hospital have also been updated with the installation of two more Elekta Versa HDs. Pictured are Elekta’s Dan Baines with trust staff Mark Hosmer, Alison Cobbe, Joliana Morgous, Shanmugavel Sengottiyan, Steve Morgan and Lynn Niblett. “Taken together, these developments have dramatically improved access to high quality radiotherapy across Sussex,  enhanced the environment for patients receiving their treatment and provided advanced technical capabilities that are
fit for the future,” said a trust spokesperson.
