InHealth’s Hornchurch site chooses spacious MRI scanner

InHealth staff clinical assistant Toyin Ojao, regional operations manager Matthew Smith, imaging services manager Adeel Talib, superintendent radiographer Sofia Fernandes and radiographer Rita Torres and Toshiba Medical Systems account executive Colin Pellow.

InHealth Diagnostic Centre in Hornchurch has acquired a Vantage Titan 1.5T MRI system, following positive feedback about Toshiba’s support from other sites.  Newly opened, the medical centre operates from the ground floor of the Westland Medical Centre and provides services to NHS and private patients.

InHealth regional operations manager Matthew Smith said: “We selected the system for several reasons, including the excellent reports from other InHealth sites regarding the service and support they receive from Toshiba.  On the equipment side it is a very spacious scanner with an offset table which gives an increased sense of space for the patient.

“The image quality is good and we like the Atlas coil, which is comparable to coils of the same type from other manufacturers.  In addition, there are no issues with acoustic noise.”
