Injectors cut contrast costs

Product specialist Kevin Byard chats with consultant radiologist Dr Hilary O’Neill, senior radiographer Rachel Moncreiff and radiology business manager John Beamer.

The CT department at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital selected the Ulrich Missouri injector to equip its newly-built two-room CT suite.

Installation of a Siemens 128 slice scanner necessitated a new injector and the Ulrich system from Cross Technologies was evaluated for its suitability to meet current and future clinical requirements.

Ease-of-use, reduced time taken to set up between patients, flexibility of clinical performance and cost savings in consumables and contrast agent usage, were sufficiently compelling that it was decided to also replace an existing syringe type injector when the current CT scanner is moved into the new suite.
