Interactive session gave users plenty to take home

Delegates and faculty at Toshiba MRI user group meeting.

The second annual Toshiba MRI user group meeting, designed to provide a forum for users to share knowledge and techniques, was held at Rhinefield House Hotel in the New Forest.  Attendees were all users of Toshiba’s range of wide bore MRI systems.

Proceedings commenced with a dinner and welcome from Toshiba Medical Systems UK managing director Matthew Stork, with the formal meeting being chaired by Mark Thomas, applications manager.

Delegates participated with presentations on topics that were of interest to their particular site which included a talk on head and neck cancers in the population of Wales, imaging of the uterine arteries, avascular necrosis and the use of JET motion correction in shoulder imaging.

An interactive session in which users participated with images they had brought with them proved to be very popular and feedback showed that ideas discussed during this session are now being successfully utilised.

David Fallow, radiology manager at Spire Wellesley Hospital, Southend, said: “I found it very useful meeting fellow users.  I will be taking back many useful techniques which I will apply to our workload.”
