Interventional radiologists view challenging cases at Leipzig

Two winners of the 2014 Terumo Interventional Scholarship had the opportunity to attend the Leipzig Interventional Course, one of the leading European interventional radiology meetings.

Now in its sixth year, the scholarship is run in conjunction with the British Society of Interventional Radiology and Terumo UK supports it as part of its commitment to education.

The winning entries were: Recanalising the SVC – time for new tools by Dr Ali Alsafi from Imperial College London and Successful use of Amplatzer plug type 4 and onyx to treat a chronic troublesome bronchi-oesophageal fistula by Dr Suresh Fernando from Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
