Jacobian combines speech recognition, structured reporting and AI automation to boost efficiency

Jacobian specialises in radiology and pathology reporting, speech recognition and workflow automation technology. Formed through the combination of Fluency for Imaging and Smart Reporting in late 2025, Jacobian delivers an integrated, AI-enabled reporting platform designed to improve diagnostic efficiency, consistency and clinical quality across imaging networks of all sizes.
Jacobian operates across North America, EMEA and Australia/New Zealand, supporting more than 7,000 radiologists and processing over 80 million diagnostic reports annually. It combines the strengths of the globally deployed, Best-in-KLAS speech recognition and workflow system Fluency for Imaging, with Smart Reporting, which provides structured reporting, medical knowledge modelling and AI-driven automation. Together, these technologies create an end-to-end reporting and workflow ecosystem, spanning front-end speech recognition, ambient and summarisation capabilities, standardised reporting, guideline-driven recommendations and intelligent worklist automation, as well as operational and clinical analytics.
“This integrated approach supports the next evolution in diagnostic workflows, combining reporting intelligence with workflow orchestration, enabling consistent quality, faster turnaround times and scalable productivity across large enterprise imaging networks,” the company says.
