An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to bring their proven skills and track record of delivery to the role of chief radiographer/radiology service manager for diagnostic radiology services within NHS Lothian.
You will bring enthusiasm, motivation, and dynamism to the key operational management role within one of the country’s largest operational diagnostic radiology departments.
Demonstrating a proven track record, you must possess exemplary organisational and leadership skills to manage a diverse service within a pressurised clinical environment.
You will provide professional leadership for the diagnostic radiology service, comprising a diverse staffing group of imaging services across three hospital and a network of community-based sites within Edinburgh, West Lothian, Midlothian and East Lothian.
You will have excellent people management and communication skills and will demonstrate flair and imagination in motivating, training and developing staff.
You will take a lead role in the development of a robust radiology strategy, setting the vision for the department as a whole, ensuring the delivery of sustainable, resilient, patient-centred radiology services both now and into the future.
The post is based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Little France site but collaborative working across all NHS Lothian radiology sites will be essential.
Applications are invited from holders of a Diploma or BSc Hons in Radiography. A post-graduate clinical or management qualification, or equivalent experience, is essential. You must also have current HCPC or equivalent registration.
