Job purpose
First Contact Health is looking for an experienced MRI radiographer to work in a small but friendly radiology department. You will have responsibility for the assessment, planning and delivery of excellent patient care. The radiology department forms an integral part of the clinic which includes 10 other clinical staff providing MSK care. The majority of the scanning is msk but we also specialise in preventative medicine. You will also be performing scans requested from clinicians outside of the clinic e.g. local general practitioners.
There is no overnight on call requirement.
First Contact Health will be opening over 100 clinics in the UK over the next few years, using a tailored version of the tried and tested joint venture concept. Benefiting from state of the art equipment, these clinics will become the preferred place for ambitious radiographers and musculoskeletal clinicians to practice.

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our new imaging team as an mri specialist radiographer at our modern clinic in Guernsey.
In this key role, you will be responsible for performing mri scans, operating advanced mri technology, vetting referrals, obtaining consent, monitoring patients, and working closely with our on-site team to deliver exceptional care. You will play a lead role in managing the daily operations of our state-of-the-art imaging suite.
Equipment: The clinic has a brand new 1.5T Philips Ingenia S Blue seal MRI scanner. It also has a new Esaote O scanner along with a Planmed Verity extremity Cone Beam CT scanner.

The person must have
- BSc (Hons) diagnostic radiography
- Registration with the health professions council
- Post-registration clinical mri experience (minimum 2 years)
- Strong it and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Professional, empathetic manner
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
