Sligo is a commercial and cultural centre, situated in the north west of Ireland. Sligo offers an affordable cost of living in comparison to other areas of Ireland. It has good transport links and good road infrastructure to other areas and airports.

Sligo University Hospital provides acute inpatient, outpatient and day services as well as some regional speciality services (eg neurology, ENT). Imaging includes multislice CT, ultrasound, MRI, radioisotopes, interventional and general radiography for adult and paediatric patients.

A second CT scanner is expected to open end of 2024 which will see the introduction of a cardiac CT service.

The role of the CSR (CT) will be to lead, guide and supervise radiographic and other staff and to successfully manage the expansion of the CT service.
