Kent and Canterbury Hospital offers a wide range of services which includes a comprehensively equipped radiology department.

A GE Healthcare LightSpeed VCT scanner has now been in operation for one year, scanning up to 40 patients a day.

According to superintendent radiographer Nicky Handford, “We are very happy with the VCT, the images are great and it is very reliable.  We have a mixed case load at the hospital and it’s coped with everything we’ve thrown at it.”

The hospital is part of the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Trust, one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and several outpatient facilities across Kent and Medway.
